Cris "Kesz" Valdez : A Former Street Kid Shines!

Cris "Kesz" Valdez shines and inspires more than 10,000 street kids in the Philippines and perhaps the whole world. He is this year's recipient of the Intentional Children Peace Award. A child who was often beaten by his father and forced to look for money to buy drug and alcohol. Run away to stay alive and stayed at the dump site at 4. He suffered terrible misfortunes at a very young age.

But from there on he stood up with the help of his foster father, he started to inspire fellow street kids by taking care of their wounds, guiding and teaching proper hygiene and giving them gifts which he usually never had before.

It is a shame for ourselves that this time a 13 years old former street kid take the lead to fill in the missing link between society and street living. He felt the hardships but the burden gave him enough strength to lay hands to the needy, those forgotten by our society.

These video just showed how extra ordinary Cris "Kesz" Valdez in his struggle. A true inspiration not only to the street kids but to everyone.

According to Angelican Bishop Desmod Tutu " these young people show the incredible resilience in human spirit"
